Carolyn Hitt
is the Creative Director of Forever Safe Spaces. Founder of Blue Cone Studios, Hitt is a social expressionist whose ultimate purpose is to bring about creative involvement through her community-engaged practices on both the canvas and in the streets. From her brainchild, The Relevant Unknowns, a yearbook-style directory of artists, activists, and innovators living/working in the Seattle area, to Tuesday Teas, her weekly experiment in radical hospitality that provides free art supplies and audio production to youth from all over, Hitt's focus has always been to make space for those who are not already in the spotlight. She created Forever Safe Spaces to address both housing instability and income equality as they impact artists most marginalized within our communities.
